Alaron Products Limited is New Zealand’s leading GMP Certified manufacturer and packer of complementary medicines and natural health products. The business has recently invested in developing its customer facing functions and as such we are now looking to appoint the following key role:

New Product Development (NPD) Manager

• New Product and Technical Sales Focus
• Management Level Role based in Nelson

The NPD Manager will oversee and participate in all product development enquiries including regulatory reviews for manufacturing and market access compliance. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this key new role will also lead and report on trial work along with supporting and where necessary providing advice on regulatory and a range of other matters both internally and externally.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Degree qualified in Food Science, Food Technology, Product Development or similar.
• Experience in a GMP environment would be advantageous.
• Strong management capability with the ability to build a positive team environment.
• Sound research and technical skills to obtain and accurately interpret technical and legal information.
• Skilled in obtaining, interpreting and presenting technical information to people in a clear, concise and understandable manner.
• First class customer focus with strong customer service capability.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage all stakeholders effectively.
• Proficient in compiling reports, legal and general documentation as well as training material.
• Organisational skills commensurate of a management role with the ability work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical skills with a methodical approach to work.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude in all interactions including highly pressurised situations.
• Self-motivated, has initiative and is a great problem solver.
• Highly proficient in computer use including Microsoft Suite, internet and other custom computer software programs.
