Alaron Products Limited is New Zealand’s leading GMP Certified manufacturer and packer of complementary medicines and natural health products. Alaron is looking to appoint the following Senior Executive level role to grow our business:


Senior Business Development Executive

  • Business Development and Sales Focus

Our business manufactures products for domestic & international customers servicing global markets (NZ/AU, USA, EU, Asia) and therefore a specific background is required in the role of Senior Business Development Executive to ensure the successful candidate has the level of experience, industry and product knowledge, skills and capability to continue driving the business forward through a diverse range of products and manufacturing services. Reporting to the Chief Executive and working as part of the Senior Management Team, the Senior Business Development Executive is critical in forming strategic partnerships with customers, developing strong customer relationships and driving sales in order to grow the business.


The successful person will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience operating as an executive level Business Development Manager.
  • Highly developed industry knowledge with a strong background in complementary medicines and/or natural health products preferred.
  • Strong experience in manufacturing and manufacturing services (for customers).
  • Interpersonal skills that effectively build and foster relationships.
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written at a senior level.
  • The hunger, drive and determination to seek out and establish customer relationships that provide mutual value.
  • Fantastic organisational skills to facilitate timely and well-planned communication with new and existing customers.
  • Commercially astute to ensure pricing framework provides both Alaron and its customers high value.
  • The ability to work autonomously / hybrid due to Alaron’s business being based in Nelson.
  • Ability to travel and be visible to customers in designated geographical areas, particularly within New Zealand and Australia.

We are not only seeking a person who can bring a strong senior level BDM/Sales background to the team but can also provide industry knowledge and insight to a fast paced, agile organisation that is strategically focused on diversification across a range of market segments and customers.
